What is Quilt Duck?
Quilt Duck is a mobile app for Android and iOS that lets you design quilts using photos of your own fabric.
Instead of guessing how a specific print will look, you can try out your actual fabric stash digitally. It allows you to experiment with different colors and layouts to see the finished result before you make a single cut. Once you’re happy with the design, the app provides a cutting list with yardage calculation to help you get started.
How much does Quilt Duck cost?
You can download the Free Version of Quilt Duck from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store. With the Free Version, you can add up to four of your own fabric swatches, and you can create quilts from a limited set of twelve classic quilt patterns.
If you'd like to create quilts from the full collection of quilt patterns, or if you'd like to add more than four fabric swatches, you can unlock the Full Version anytime for $29.95. This is a one-time purchase that lets you use Quilt Duck forever.
Do I need an active internet connection to design quilts or add fabric swatches?
No. Once you download the app, you can design quilts and add fabric swatches without an active internet connection. However, if you would like to purchase the Full Version, you will need an internet connection to access the store and complete your purchase.
Where does Quilt Duck save my fabric swatches and quilt projects?
Quilt Duck stores your fabric swatches and quilt designs in your device's local storage. This means that your projects are saved directly on your phone or tablet and are not stored on the internet or in the cloud.
This approach ensures that your designs stay private and accessible even when you're not connected to the internet.
Can I design my own quilt pattern?
While a "free-draw" mode is in development, the Full Version currently allows you to customize 50+ classic quilt patterns. By mixing and matching your own fabrics with adjustable sashing, cornerstones, and up to four borders, you can create nearly endless design combinations.
We regularly add new patterns to the library through free version updates. If there is a specific quilt block pattern you’d love to see included, feel free to send us a request!

Can I print or share cutting lists?
Yes! With Quilt Duck's Full Version you can create PDFs of your cutting lists and print them on your printer, or share them via your phone's messaging or E-mail apps.
