- Effective Date: November 28, 2025
- Last Modified Date: December 19, 2025
Quilt Duck (“the App”) is provided by Rodney Lance Peterson, operating as a sole proprietor (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App accesses and uses information when you use it.
Quilt Duck helps users photograph and organize fabric, and plan and visualize quilting projects. All photo processing occurs locally on your device. Quilt Duck does not operate any servers for storing images or personal data.
By using Quilt Duck, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
Quilt Duck is designed to function without accounts and does not collect personally identifiable information.
The App may access or process the following information on your device only, and only with your permission:

Imported images remain on your device and are not collected or stored by us.
1.3 Internet Access
Used only for:
- Processing in-app purchases
- Validating previously purchased content
The App does not transmit photos, personal data, or any user-generated content over the internet.
1.4 In-App Purchases
When you make an in-app purchase, the purchase receipt is validated through our third-party service provider (Adapty). This receipt includes transaction information only, such as:
- Product identifier
- Purchase date
- Purchase token or transaction ID
2. Data We Do NOT Collect
Quilt Duck does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Personal identifiers (name, email, address, phone)
- Account information
- Analytics or usage data
- Location data
- Contacts or device identifiers
The App does not upload or transmit any user content (photos, media files, projects) to any external servers.
The App includes no advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
3. Consent and Permissions
Permissions are requested only when needed and may be revoked at any time in your device’s settings.
Revoking camera or photo-library permissions limits photo features.
Core app functionality works offline except for in-app purchase validation.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses platform-provided billing services:
- Google Play Billing (Android)
- Apple In-App Purchase (IAP) (iOS)
- Adapty (purchase validation) — See https://adapty.io/privacy
These services are governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not control how these platforms handle purchase-related information. These services may collect technical diagnostic data (such as crash logs and performance metrics) as necessary for the maintenance, security, and improvement of their services.
Quilt Duck does not use any other third-party SDKs.
5. Your Privacy Rights
Because Quilt Duck does not collect personal information:
- There is no personal data to access, export, or delete
- CCPA/CPRA rights generally do not apply
- We do not sell or share personal information
- You may delete all App data by uninstalling the App
You may revoke permissions at any time through your device settings.
6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
Quilt Duck does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Because the App collects no personal data from any user, no special COPPA procedures are required.
Parents may manage device permissions or delete the App at any time.
7. Data Security
Because Quilt Duck does not collect or store personal data, your data remains entirely on your device. Local storage is protected by standard iOS and Android security (sandboxing, scoped storage).
